Should we use lime mortar?
We always like to replace like for like when repairing existing buildings and lots of our buildings in the uk still have lime mortar between the brickwork. When we come across this we will always aim use lime mortar, whether we are repointing or rebuilding. Although lime mortar is great for old materials, we do use sand and cement for all new works, unless otherwise mentioned.
